The chili tvp+ is a mix of three legumes and classic chili spices, the little extra, if you want to reveal it, or not, is that it is vegan. The small bag also included will add texture to it.

 

Ingredients:Whole black mung beans, Black-eyed peas, Light red beans, Bulgur, dry, Defatted soy flour, Dehydrated vegetables (carrots, Onions, Potatoes, Leeks, Tomatoes, Celery, Green and red peppers, Parsley), Dehydrated onion , Chilli Powder, Cinnamon, Paprika

Contains: Wheat, Soy, Mustard

 

Note: you will need tomatoes to complete this recipe.

  • In a stovepot, pour the contents of the bag (except for the small sachet inside the bag) and add water.

    • For the mini 4 cups of water (1 litre)
    • For regular 8 cups of water (2 litres);

    Simmer over medium heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

    Add the diced tomatoes and their juices (fresh or canned) and simmer medium-low heat for 30 to 45 minutes

    • For the mini 1 cup of tomato (250 ml)
    • For regular 2 cups of tomatoes (500 ml)

    When the legumes are cooked and the liquid is well evaporated, add the small sachet and 1 tbsp. salt

     

    Cover and let rest for 5 minutes.

     

    Trick:It is possible to soak the contents of the bag (except for the small sachet) in water of 1 to 12 hours, this as for the effect of reducing; the cooking time. To do this, put the amount of water from recipe and use this water for cooking.

  • is possible to cook chili in a slow cooker.

    In the slow cooker, pour the contents of the bag (with the exception of the small sachet inside the bag) and add:

    • For the mini 2 cups of water (500ml)1 cup of diced tomatoes (250ml)
    • Pour le régulier 4 cups of water (1 litre) et 2 cups of dices tomatoes

    Cook at high intensity for 8 hours. When cooked, add the small sachet and 1 tbsp. salt or more to taste, let stand at least 5 minutes before serving.

     

    You can add to your chili: corn, fresh coriander, sour cream, chips on the side, etc. 

    You can also enhance it, to your taste, with tomato paste, soy sauce, coffee, molasses, ketchup, etc.
