Ingredients: Green split peas, Semolina (Wheat), Durum Wheat flour, Barley, pearl, raw, Red lentils, Onion, Vegetable broth (Sugars, Salt, Monosodium glutamate, Hydrolyzed soy, wheat and corn proteins, Corn starch , Vegetable oil, Maltodextrin, Spices, Tomato powder, Dehydrated carrots, celery onions, red peppers, Yeast extract, Silicon dioxide, Natural flavor, Tartrazine, citric acid, disodium inosinate and guanylate, soybean oil), Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Rosemary, Parsley Contains: Wheat, Soy, Barley
Note: you will need to add fresh or canned tomatoes.
Minestrone
Pinch the bag to reserve the shells in a separate container. (Don't worry if a few red lentils end up with the shells!)
In a saucepan, pour the contents of the bag and add the water.
For the mini 3 cups of water (750 ml)
For the familly size use 11 cups of water (3 liters)
Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer gently for 15 minutes uncovered.
Add the diced tomatoes (fresh or canned) and simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes.

for the family 1 can 28 oz diced tomatoes
Add the shells and cook for 7 to 10 minutes. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
